Contest: Win the New Gustafer Yellowgold Album

GustaferYellowgoldsMellowFever.jpgI reallyliked the latest Gustafer Yellowgold DVD/CD release, Gustafer Yellowgold's Mellow Fever, and now thanks to Gustafer and his pals, I'm going to give you a chance to win it.

That's right, you could be the lucky winner of the latest collection of Gustafer (mis-)adventures. All you need to do is enter by writing your favorite summertime adventure in the comments below. One entry per household; all entries due by midnight East Coast time Thursday night. I'll pick a winner at random. Good luck, and to get you inspired, here's Gustafer's memories of his summers on the sun.

I recall sitting with Cornelia on the back porch of Monticello, surveying the fields of flax and hemp, and contemplating the long, delicate hairs that grew from the ears of the former vice president.

Every year about now the kids and I start making a "Fun Things To Do This Summer" list. Then in the summer, we check things off (usually only getting to a fraction of the 30-40 things we think of).My personal favorite is watching the girls pick ripe strawberries out of the strawberry patch in our front yard.

I liked chasing my 2-year-old across the street at a 4th of July parade (in front of the parade, naturally) in search of a piece of candy that turned out to be a discarded wrapper. And she loved the parade and the candy.
