    Kidzapalooza 2009 Lineup Announced

For some reason, it always takes longer to announce the Kidzapalooza lineup at Lollapalooza than it does their Austin Kiddie Limits cousin, even though AKL is held long after Kidzapalooza wraps up (this year's edition is August 7-9 in Chicago's Grant Park).

But via their Facebook page, here's the lineup. Hope you like kids who rawk:
    Care Bears on Fire
    Frances England
    Zach Gill
    Lunch Money
    Yuto Miyazawa
Paul Green's School of Rock All Stars
    Perry Farrell
    Peter DiStefano & Tor
    The Q Brothers
    Quinn Sullivan
    Ralph's World
    Secret Agent 23 SKidoo
...and a few special guests as always!

Care Bears are a well-known kid-rock group, Sullivan's a 10-year-old guitar whiz, Miyazawa's a 9-year-old guitar whiz, and everybody at Paul Green's School of Rock is a guitar whiz without a driver's license, it seems like.

Beyond that, Zach Gill did a kids' song with ALO and is on Jack Johnson's Brushfire Records with a lot of kid-not-unfriendly tunes, but he seems to be more in the Perry Farrell/Peter DiStefano/Tor camp of guest stars (a la last year's Mason Jennings set).

And, OMG!, Frances England, who's the only one of the more well-known kids musicians who isn't also making the trip down to Austin for AKL.

Oh no, that's pretty good...now I'm thinking about a Chicago road trip the weekend after Newport Folk...agh!
