Contest: Win Gwendolyn and the Good Time Gang CD & DVD!

The latest album from Gwendolyn and the Good Time Gang, Get Up & Dance!, was released last week, and we've got a copy with your name on it.

Well, technically speaking, it doesn't really have your name on it. I mean, that would imply that the fix is in for this contest and that every single reader is a winner, which isn't true.

Oh, I mean, you're all winners in the very global sense of being worthwhile people. But in another, more real sense, one of you (whose name, I would re-emphasize, is not yet known to me) is a winner, and the rest of you, while not exactly losers, are non-winners. Winning-challenged. Left holding a bag devoid of winning.

But, yes, thanks to Gwendolyn herself, not only do we have a copy of the new album, we also have a copy of their live concert DVD, Live in Grandma's Living Room. We're giving this combo away to one lucky reader. (If you're not familiar with the GTG music, get yourself on over to their music page and click on any one of their three albums to listen to streaming samples. You want to enter.)

So many contests! So many ways to put "winning" in this, the bag I hold (okay, my bag does have 4 Ralph's World tickets in it from the Lovely Mrs. Davis, but it's hard to pass the thrill of entering another contest).It would appear that Gwendolyn has some of the perkiest pigtails since the 1960s and 70s...like Cindy Brady, for example (only without Cindy's perfect coils of wonder).

Gwendolyn has mighty pigtails. My favorite real person with pigtails has to be my daughter Jane (especially since her hair only got long enough to put into pigtails within the last month), but Gwendolyn reminds me a lot more of Blossom, the blonde PowerPuff Girl.

Those are pigtails and my fave ponytailer is my daughter, Gwyndolyn, who often dresses like the band Gwendolyn in the same dress and all! They are a great band and we're looking forward to seeing them this weekend!

Gwendolyn wears piggytails, much like my daughter Roo. Incidentally, her very favorite song in the whole world is "Farm Animal Friends" from the first GTG album. She turns three in March and I was contemplating the DVD for her birthday... if we win, maybe I can splurge and get her the Gwendolyn dress instead! We'd love to see GTG live but the likelihood of them coming to Wichita, KS is unfortunately pretty slim.
